About

Geek City Electronics, Inc. was originally founded in January of 2000 as 2 Geeks Computers, located in the Regency Court Mall The founder of the company, Randy Jones, started with little experience other than handyman repairs but had business experience as a Food and Beverage Director for 5-Star hotels, and the subsequent management of his own restaurants and consultation businesses.

Randy soon found that he was too busy to handle the work load and hired his son, Brad Jones, as a retail clerk and repair technician. Brad, then about to graduate from high school, had been working with computers since the age of 12, and instantly took an interest.

After a few years, they decided that the business model no longer justified the name "2 Geeks Computers" because of the expansion of employees and services rendered. They decided on the name "Geek City Electronics."

With economic growth and a thriving business, Geek City moved to a new, larger location at 116 Minnie St. Ste. C where they still operate both retail and service divisions. With more space came the ability to expand into other fields, spawning a wholly owned subsidiary; Geek City Security Solutions, LLC., a company based around security installation, monitoring, guard duties and other services.

Randy Jones died on July 10th 2007 in a motorcycle accident. He had already groomed Brad to take his place, so the transition went as easily as could be expected, and work continues as usual.

A picture of Randy hangs on the wall to remind everyone that this is a family orientated business, built from the ground up.
